Eta Colony now Eta Chapter Posted on April 16, 2011 The National Executive is proud to announce our newest chapter, located at Appalachian State University. Appalachian State University was designated as Eta Chapter on April 16, 2011 at convocation. As a colony, Eta quickly became an active part of the local scouting community and an active fraternity on campus. They have participated in service projects to help the local humane society and have adopted a street in town. Additionally they also sold coffee on campus to raise money to purchase scout books for a local scout troop. Appalachian State University is Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwestern North Carolina, and has built a national reputation for providing outstanding academics. Nestled at the base of Howard’s Knob, the university is located in downtown Boone, NC (year-round pop. 15,000), a small town which thrives as one of the Southeast’s premier tourism and outdoor recreation destinations. The nearby Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest provide a beautiful natural setting with unlimited possibilities for outdoor adventure. Appalachian is a public institution and part of The University of North Carolina System and has an enrollment of 16,610. Epsilon Tau Pi will be an excellent addition to Appalachian State University.
